Abstract
Aesculapian is a kind of hands-on simulation learning system that offers a unique anatomy training experience and provides an interactive learning and exam experience with next generation virtual reality technology. Aesculapian has been developed using Unreal Engine, a world-renowned game engine as a real-time 3D creation tool. Aesculapian aims to help medical school students investigate the human body virtually without using real cadavers. The system includes a quiz module and various gameplay activities to be used in anatomy education in an interactive and funny way so that the medical school students would have a unique experience. Almost every part of the anatomical systems in the human body is in practice. These parts can be examined with virtual realism, related tutorials and videos can be watched, and students can virtually hold and explore the parts of the human body by hand. The proposed learning system also provides a very easy question preparation and ongoing follow-up mechanism for lecturers in the medical academy.
