Dr. Ebru Sayılgan graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering with BSc and MSc degrees, in 2013 and 2016, respectively. She got her PhD degree at the Department of Biomedical Technologies in Izmir Katip Celebi University, in 2020. During her master's thesis, she joined the "The Laboratory of Neuropsychophysiology at the University of Porto (2013-2014)" as a TUBITAK Scholar. The main scope was to receive training on "Cognitive, Affective, and Social Neuroscience with an emphasis on EEG/ERP methods and meta-analytic" topics, which is the main component of the Brain Computer Interface studies. She was a Research Assistant (2014-2016) and Teaching Assistant (2016-2017) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Nisantasi University, Istanbul, Turkey. She worked as a Mechanical Engineer in Safe Glass Research Development Eng. Co. located at the TechnoPark in Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey (2015-2016). During her doctorate, she started working as a Research & Development Engineer at Islerya Medical & Information Technologies Co. located at the TechnoPark in Ege University, Izmir, Turkey (2017-2018). Her main research interests are in the field of biomedical signal processing, deep learning, machine learning, biomechatronics, and medical device design.
