Doktora çalışmasında, anayasacılık ve demokrasi ilişkisine dair teorik tartışmayı Türkiye örneği üzerinden ele almış ve daha sonraki araştırmalarında da normatif demokrasi teorisine odaklanmaya devam etmiştir. Epistemik demokrasi, çoğunlukçuluk ve epistokrasi gibi konular üzerine yayınları bulunmaktadır. Demokrasi teorisinin yanısıra, çağdaş liberal teori ve sosyal bilim felsefesi de ilgi alanları içerisindedir. Kant ve Neo-Kantçı siyaset felsefesi üzerine bir kitap yazmaktadır.

Upon completion of his BA at Bilkent University, he acquired MA degrees in history and political science from Uppsala University. He received his PhD in political science from Istanbul Bilgi University.
In his doctoral dissertation he discussed the relationship between constitutionalism and democracy by thinking through the case of Turkey. He continues to study in the field of normative democratic theory. He has publications on topics such as; epistemic democracy, majoritarianism and epistocracy. Alongside democratic theory, his research interests include contemporary liberal theory and philosophy of social sciences. He is currently working on a book about Kant and neo-Kantian political philosophy.
