Izzet Murat Aksit graduated from Aerospace Faculty of Istanbul Technical University in 1985. He received his MSc degree from Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Istanbul Technical University. He completed his PhD at Cranfield University, in England, in 1995. After worked for Ford of Turkey, he returned to Cranfield University, working as a post-doc between in 1998-2004. Then he returned to Turkey and worked for defense industry companies such as Roketsan, STM, and TEI. He joined İzmir University of Economics in September 2017.
His research interest includes Turbulent Combustion, Turbulent Diffusion Flame, Emission Predictions, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Fluid Dynamics (Aerodynamics) and Internal Combustion Engines.
