dc.description.abstract | Obesity is one of the important issues in the World's agenda. Similarly, in Turkey, obesity rate is gradually increasing and affecting people in many ways from health to clothing. In terms of clothing, despite increasing obesity rate, plus-size market has been underserved, and users have dissatisfactions in terms of overall shopping environment, size availability, design and garment fit. Thus, the main aim of this study was to determine the problems in plus-size women's clothing through a survey study and to introduce design approaches considering innovative materials, technologies and construction techniques. In this context, customization tools, 3D body scanning, seamless garment technology, functional clothing and smart textiles were researched. | en_US |
