Globalization forces firms to adapt to changing market conditions and increased uncertainty. Shorter product life cycles, changing and increased customer expectations, and technological developments have specially suppressed manufacturing firms. In order to increase firms' performance and efficiency, machine and equipment selection is one of the most important decisions. In this study, the machine selection problem is solved by integrated fuzzy TOPSIS and goal programming techniques. The aim of the study is to provide managers meaningful support about machine selection problem. The criteria for machine selection are determined by literature review and managers' judgments. In the proposed method, the criteria weights are determined by fuzzy TOPSIS, and then the final selection of alternatives are made by goal programming.en_US
