Title: | Oxygen therapy and noninvasive mechanical ventilation | Authors: | Ozbudak, G. Doner, N.H. Yesilbalkan, O.U. |
Keywords: | Noninvasive mechanical ventilation Nursing management |
Publisher: | Nova Science Publishers, Inc. | Abstract: | Oxygen therapy is a medical treatment that involves the administration of oxygen to patients who do not receive enough O2 naturally. Oxygen can be administered in a variety of ways, such as through nasal tubes or masks, or even through a ventilator. Noninvasive mechanical ventilation (NIMV) is a form of mechanical ventilation used to assist breathing without the need for an invasive airway such as an endotracheal tube. Instead, a mask or other device is used to provide positive pressure ventilation to the patient's airway. © 2023 by Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
