dc.description.abstractThis chapter is a compilation of literature on gender, economic crises, inequality, and informality. This chapter is a continuation of the previous one. Dividing the macroeconomic literature on gender and informality into two parts is considered more beneficial for the readers. Feminist macroeconomists criticize the conventional macroeconomic paradigm for its unequal distributional consequences by gender, ethnicity, and class. Women disproportionally shoulder the burden as they perform more unpaid housework.
