Article Asymptotic Properties of Mth Spacings Based on Records(Elsevier B.V., 2024) Bayramoglu, I.; Stepanov, A.In this work, the mth spacings based on record values obtained from continuous distributions are discussed. We first present distributional results for such spacings, and then, by making use of classification of distribution tails, derive asymptotic results for the mth record spacings. We also obtain strong limit results for them and illustrate our theoretical results by examples. Finally, we support our findings by data obtained from simulation experiments. © 2024Article The Multivariate Local Dependence Function(Taylor and Francis Ltd., 2025) Bayramoglu, I.; Erşin, P.The local dependence function is important in many applications of probability and statistics. We extend the bivariate local dependence function (Bairamov and Kotz 2000; Bairamov, Kotz, and Kozubowski 2003) to three-variate and multivariate local dependence function characterizing the dependency between three and more random variables in a given specific point. The definition and properties of the three-variate local dependence function are discussed. An example of a three-variate local dependence function for underlying three-variate normal distribution is presented. The graphs and tables with numerical values are provided. The multivariate extension of the local dependence function that can characterize the dependency between multiple random variables at a specific point is also discussed. © 2025 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
