Biography
Sertaç Kılıçkaya, 2018 yılında İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi Elektrik-Elektronik Mühendisliği Bölümü’nden bölüm birincisi ve üniversite üçüncüsü olarak mezun olmuştur. Yüksek lisans derecesini, elektrik makinelerinde arıza teşhisine yönelik makine öğrenmesi tabanlı çalışmalarıyla, 2022 yılında aynı üniversiteden almıştır. Şubat 2022’de doktora öğrenimine başlayan Kılıçkaya, makine öğrenmesinin elektrik makinelerinde durum izleme, arıza teşhisi ve sinyal işleme uygulamaları üzerine araştırmalar yapmaktadır. 2024 yılında Finlandiya’daki Tampere Üniversitesi Signal Analysis and Machine Intelligence (SAMI) araştırma grubunda, Prof. Moncef Gabbouj’un danışmanlığında misafir araştırmacı olarak çalışmıştır. Nisan 2019’dan beri İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi’nde araştırma görevlisi olarak görev yapmaktadır.

Sertac Kilickaya received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Izmir University of Economics in 2018 and 2022, respectively, as the class valedictorian. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the same university, where he has also been working as a research assistant since 2019. In 2024, he was a visiting researcher in the Signal Analysis and Machine Intelligence (SAMI) research group at Tampere University, under the supervision of Prof. Moncef Gabbouj. His research focuses on machine learning, mainly applied to condition monitoring and fault diagnosis in electrical machines, as well as other areas of signal processing.
