Dr. Gönül Dinç Horasan is currently Professor of Public Health at Izmir University of Economics Faculty of Medicine, Izmir. Dr. Horasan obtained her medical degree from Ege University Faculty of Medicine and did her residency at Akdeniz University in Antalya. Dr Horasan has worked in Manisa Celal Bayar University (MCBU) between 1996-2017. She also worked as a fellowship in Academic Unit of Primary Health Care, University of Bristol, UK for six months in 2006. Dr. Horasan has been teaching epidemiology, biostatistics, reproductive health and noncommunicable disesases in graduate and undergraduate courses. She has worked on the editorial board of the Clinical and Experimental Health Sciences as the epidemiology and statistics consultant. Reproductive health and surveillance are among her research interests. Dr Dinç Horasan worked as a founding manager in the Women Center in MCBU between 2012-2015. She was the head of the Women Studies Department in Social Sciences Institute in the same University between 2012-2017. Dr Horasan has been the Director of Gender Studies Research Center (EKOKAM) in Izmir University of Economics since 2021. Dr. Dinç Horasan is married and is a mother of two children.
