Biography
Dr. Musa Özgün Güleç graduated from Yeditepe University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, in 2012, with the first place in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the third place in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. He received his MSc and PhD degrees from the Istanbul Technical University Mechanical Engineering Program in 2012 and 2023, respectively. During his master's degree, he worked on dynamic system modeling and the mechanical design of humanoid robot arms. Then, he focused on the integrated design optimization of the drive-train and structure of a robot manipulator during his doctoral period. He has been producing power transmission parts (gear, gearbox, synchronous - timing belt pulley, and coupling) through the company he founded in 2011, and provides consultancy on the selection of power transmission parts, including powertrain and bearing groups. He holds four patents with examination and two utility model certificates. His main research areas are in system dynamics and control, robotics, dynamic system modeling, integrated optimization, and machine elements.
