| gperson.biography | Gillian Mazıcı İngilterenin kuzey doğu bölgesinde doğumuştur. 1980 yılında Leeds Üniversitesinden Eğitim bölümünden mezun olduktan sonra, Londrada, bir eğitim vakfında çalışma hayatına başlamıştır. Türkiyeye gelmeden önce birkaç sene insan kaynaklarında görev yapmıştır. 1992de RSA TEFL sertifikası almış ve 1993ile 1996 yıları arasında Kuşadasında ozel bir okulda oğretmenlik yapmıştır. 1995 ve 1997 yılları arasında ODTU Geliştirme Vakfı Okulunda çalıştıktan sonra, 1998 ve 1999 yılarında Başkent Üniversitesinin Hazırlık Bölümümde görev almıştır. 1992 den 2002 yılına kadar ODTU Hazırlık Bölümünde çalışmıştır. 2002 yıllında İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesine gelmiş, ve halen Yabancı Diller Yüksek Okulunda Okutman ve Akademik Koordinatör olarak gorev yapmaktadır. *************************************************************************************************************************************** Gillian Mazıcı was born in the North East of England. After graduating in Education and Community Studies from the University of Leeds in 1980, she began her working life in an educational foundation in London. Before coming to Turkey, she worked for several years in human resource management. In 1992 she gained an RSA TEFL certificate and began teaching in a private school in Kuşadası. From there she went to Ankara where she worked in METU Foundation Primary school until 1997. After teaching in the preparatory programme at Başkent University for one year, she returned to METU where she worked in the School of Foreign Languages, Preparatory Department until 2002. In 2002 she joined the staff of the School of Foreign Languages at IEU and since then she has been working as an instructor and as an Academic Coordinator since 2004. | |
