| gperson.biography | Hüseyin Gökmen Aksoy lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora derecelerini İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesinden makine mühendisliği alanından sırası ile 1998, 2001 ve 2008 yıllarında almıştır. 1999 yılında Almanya Erlangen’de yer alan Friedrich-Alexander Üniversitesi Akışkanlar Mekaniği Enstitüsünde ziyaretçi araştırmacı olarak bulunmuştur. 2001-2002 arasında Belçika Brüksel’de bulunan Von Karman Akışkanlar Dinamiği Enstitüsünün Turbomakina ve İtki Bölümünde diploma programına katılmıştır. Doktorasını tamamladıktan sonra Başkent Üniversitesi Makine Mühendisliği bölümünde öğretim görevlisi olarak çalışmıştır. Israil Teknoloji Enstitüsü-Technion’da doktora sonrası araştırmacı olarak dalga yayılması üzerine çalışmalar yapmıştır. Daha sonra İstanbul Kemerburgaz Üniversitesi Makine Mühendisliği bölümünde öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmalarına devam etmiştir. Bir süre yurt dışında proje mühendisi olarak çalıştıktan sonra Türkiye’ye dönerek Türk Hava Kurumu Üniversitesi Makine Mühendisliği bölümünde tam zamanlı, daha sonrasında ise ODTÜ Kuzey Kıbrıs Kampüsünde Havacılık ve Uzay Mühendisliği bölümü ve Makine Mühendisliği bölümünde yarı zamanlı öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapmıştır. Halen akademik alanda deneysel ve teorik olarak dalga yayılması ve malzemelerin mekanik davranışları üzerine çalışmalarına devam etmektedir. Hüseyin Gökmen Aksoy akademik çalışmalarının dışında özel sektörde proje mühendisi ve kalite güvence yöneticisi olarak görev yapmıştır. ************************************************************************************************************************************** Hüseyin Gökmen Aksoy received his undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees from Istanbul Technical University in the field of mechanical engineering in 1998, 2001 and 2008, respectively. In 1999, he was a visiting researcher at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics at Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany. Between 2001 and 2002, he participated in the diploma program in the Turbomachinery and Propulsion Department of the Von Karman Fluid Dynamics Institute in Brussels, Belgium. After completing his doctorate, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Başkent University. He worked on wave propagation as a postdoctoral researcher at the Israel Institute of Technology-Technion. Later, he continued his studies as a faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Istanbul Kemerburgaz University. After working as a project engineer abroad for a while, he returned to Turkey and worked as a full-time faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Turkish Aeronautical Association, and later as a part-time faculty member in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at METU Northern Cyprus Campus. He still continues to work on wave propagation and mechanical behavior of materials experimentally and theoretically in the academic field. Hüseyin Gökmen Aksoy worked as a project engineer and quality assurance manager in the private sector apart from his academic studies.
