A Post Keynesian Theory of Economic Policy-Filling a Void
(Routledge Journals, Taylor & Francis Ltd, 2009) Heise, Arne
The traditional theory of economic policy of the Tinbergen-Theil-type has come under severe criticism: in the ontological setting of the new classical macroeconomics based on the rational expectations hypothesis, economic policy is ineffective or neutral with respect to real variables. In the ontological setting of Hayekian economics based on informational deficiencies, economic policy is without orientation and, therefore, more harmful than helpful. There both criticisms are united in their rejection of state interventions. In this paper a Post Keynesian alternative is presented which is situated between nomocratic abstinence and teleological controllability.

Growth Engines of the South? South Africa, Brazil and Turkey in Comparison
    (2010) Duman A.; Heise A.; Heise A.
South Africa, Brazil and Turkey (SABT) are among those countries that not only to continue to converge towards the per-capita income levels of highly developed nations but also to be the best candidates next to China and India of serving as the locomotives of world GDP and trade growth after the depression. Therefore, it appears interesting to inquire into the macroeconomic governance structures of SABT in order to assess their capabilities for enhancing growth and employment. This will be done on the basis of a Post-Keynesian policy model of market constellations comprising of institutionally embedded macro-economic policy regimes. © 2010 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
