The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.82 for the total scale, 0.76 for the self-efficacy in obtaining respite subscale, 0.82 for the self-efficacy in responding to disruptive patient behaviours subscale and 0.96 for the self-efficacy in controlling upsetting thoughts about caregiving subscale.
