Article Alman Sosyal Ağlarda Hukuk Uygulamasının İyileştirilmesi Hakkında Kanuna İlişkin Değerlendirme(2018) Oğlakcıoğlu, Mustafa Temmuz; Dülger, Murat VolkanWith the development of technology, people’s methods and fields of using internet have both improved and changed. Today, social media networks are used as a means of getting news, notifying and communicating. Parallel to this, it was necessary to establish a legal framework in order to keep up with the rapidly developing technological laws and to find solutions to the problems in order to educate technologists during this time. One of the countries that responded to this requirement was Germany. This is not surprising given that it is one of the first countries to use the internet and the development of the legal system is taken into account. In addition to many legal regulations on the subject, the Law on Right to Claims and Sanctions (Law for the Improvement of Law Enforcement in Social Networks) was finally adopted by the German Social Network on September 1, 2017 and entered into force on 1 January 2018. Although the law foresees sanctions against hate crimes, many crimes from the German Criminal Code have been included (which crimes are defined as illegal content will be addressed in detail below). This article examines the articles one by one on the basis of the purpose served by the regulation of the new law, which consists of a total of six articles.Article Citation - WoS: 1Educating Future Public Relations Professionals: a Socially Oriented Approach(Marmara Univ, Fac Communication, 2024-01-26) Bicakci, A. banu; Kuyucu, Melike Aktas; Aktaş, MelikeThe view that organizational goals and priorities in the field of public relations should be balanced with a social orientation is increasingly gaining ground in both professional practices and academic approaches and how the future of public relations should be structured within this framework is being discussed. Of these, human papilloma virus (HPV) is of great importance because it is very common and can be prevented by vaccination. More widespread vaccination can be achieved by increasing awareness and knowledge, both in society and among physicians. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the knowledge level of med school students, who had HPV vaccine, about sexually transmitted diseases.Materials and Methods: Socio-demographic characteristics and knowledge levels about sexually transmitted diseases were evaluated by filling out a questionnaire for med school students who were vaccinated in 2022 in our hospital. The dataset were put in Microsoft Office Excel program. Results: Total of 212 participants (169 females 79.7%; 43 males 20.3%, mean age 22.18 +/- 2.15 years) were included in the study. Participants stated that they heard about HPV vaccine; through classes 74.5% (n= 158), friends/family 43.4% (n= 92), and social media/TV 41% (n= 87). They defined the safest contraceptive method for STD as using condoms 68.9%, not having sexual intercourse 18.4%, and monogamy 12.7%. Question about causative relation with cancer development of listed agents answered as: HPV (99.1%), hepatitis B (70.8%), syphilis (6.6%), and Gonorrhea (3.8%).Conclusion: Increasing level of knowledge of young physicians and physician candidates about sexually transmitted diseases will certainly contribute to the awareness and vaccination of society. These autonomous organisations, working for the benefits of the civil society in various fields, are significant hubs for Public Relations (PR) management and practice. However, as to be able to serve a social transition, PR must be conceptualized beyond a corporate-centric perspective. In the literature, a new PR understanding, associated with the concepts such as postmodernism and activism, is stemming on the axis of cultural critical tradition. To operationalize this PR definition, the students in the field should be supported to create awareness towards civil society. Within this context, this study aims to question the development of an understanding regarding the public benefit dimension in undergraduate PR education, based on the CSO - Department collaborations and to make suggestions thoroughly. This study reviews undergraduate PR programs of the State and Foundation Universities in Turkey. Existence of possible collaborations and their features are scrutinized via structured interviews, which were participated by 43% of the sample. In sum, it was concluded that the collaborations were at a national level, short termed and far from sustainability, the subject was included in the courses at different grade levels and the most of the studies were conducted in the field of health.
