Article Diyabetik Ayak Nedeniyle Debridman Uygulanan Hastalarda Klorheksidin Solüsyonunun Mikroorganizma Üremesi Üzerine Etkisi: Randomize Kontrollü Çalışma(2023) Talhaoğlu, Dilek; Çürük, Gülsüm NihalAmaç: Araştırma, diyabetik ayak nedeniyle debridman uygu- lanan hastalarda klorheksidin solüsyonunun mikroorganizma üremesi üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmış randomize kontrollü de- neysel bir çal ışmadır. Article Diyabetik Ayak Nedeniyle Debridman Uygulanan Hastalarda Klorheksidin Solüsyonunun Mikroorganizma Üremesi Üzerine Etkisi: Randomize Kontrollü Çalışma(2023) Talhaoğlu, Dilek; Çürük, Gülsüm NihalAmaç: Araştırma, diyabetik ayak nedeniyle debridman uygu- lanan hastalarda klorheksidin solüsyonunun mikroorganizma üremesi üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmış randomize kontrollü de- neysel bir çal ışmadır. However, health needs are often disregarded throughout the adolescent era, even though it is a time when fast changes occur in many facets of life, including physical, psychological, cognitive, and social development. This study aimed to contribute to the improvement of adolescent health by measuring the degree of knowledge of family physicians (FPs) on adolescent health services. Material-Method: The was a descriptive-cross-sectional design study. A questionnaire was given to 2200 FPs by e-mail and 344 accepted to participate. The questionnaire had a 13% response rate. Results: Women made up 56.4% of the participants (n=194) and the average age of the participants was 38.77 years (SD: 10.08) (min: 25, max: 80). Two hundred fifteen (62.5%) of the FPs who participated in the survey, had encountered adolescent patients. A statistical correlation was found between having children and the idea that questions should be asked with one-word answers to the target to obtain answers in the adolescent age group (pArticle Mental Health and Planetary Health(2023-12-31) Görgü, Genco; Gökdemir, ÖzdenAim: While the mental health burden of the COVID-19 pandemic is turning into a public health problem, the global dimension of the problem makes it necessary to address the issue in the context of planetary health for a solution. The goal of this study was to examine the contents and challenges of managing mental health issues at the planetary health level during COVID-19. Method: The bibliographic method was used. Theses were searched by searching YOKSIS and PubMed for reviews with the keywords "mental health, planetary health, and COVID-19." Results: In the search made in June 2021, from 2018 till 27.02.2022; 19 related articles have been found. The most proportion of published reviews was about patients’ mental health via telehealth; only three of the reviews were about healthcare workers. Two of the researches were excluded because they were not reviewed. The same keywords are used for searching among the thesis of YOKSIS, only one research was found about fuzzy cognition maps and decision making. Conclusions: Research on managing mental health problems and planetary health during pandemics in the family medicine discipline is far from providing sufficient literature diversity. Advances in data analytics and information technologies are opening up new medical clinical problem-solving methods. In order to measure the effects of the COVID-19 pandemics and to establish global well-being and higher planetary mood in the future, research at the level of the individual, society and planet are required.Article Evaluation of Oxidative/Nitrosative Stress Parameters and Histopathological, Immunohistochemical Effects on Cisplatin-Induced Lung Toxicity in Rats(2023-12-01) Yıldız Dalgınlı, Kezban; Öztürkler, Melek; Beşeren, Hatice; Adalı, Yasemen; Atakişi, Onur; Dalgınlı, Kezban YıldızThe main focus of this study is to investigate oxidative/nitrosative stress and antioxidant effects and immunohistochemical effects in cisplatin-induced lung toxicity. In the study, 12 male Sprague Dawley rats, 2 months old, were divided into two groups: control (n=6) and cisplatin (n=6). Isotonic solution was administered to control and cisplatin 10 mg/kg single dose intraperitoneal to cisplatin group. Reducte glutathione (GSH), malondialdehyde (MDA) and nitric oxide (NO) levels were determined by spectrophotometricmethod in the lung tissues taken. Paraffin blocks were made from lung tissues and stained with hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. Immunohistochemically, p53, CD3, CD20, Bcl-2 ve Ki67 were evaluated. It was found that cisplatin administration alone had no effect on MDA and GSH values in the lung tissue of rats, and NO levels were significantly increased (P<0.005). In the histopathological evaluation of the lung tissue, congestion-bleeding findings, intense inflammation areas, lymphoid follicles around the bronchi and bronchioles were seen with HE staining. Concentric fibrous and fibrinous plugs consisting of blood-fibrin and inflammatory cells and fibroblasts in the airways were observed, with low- density edema between the alveoli. Reactive pan B cell markers CD20, T-cell marker CD3 in the interstitial component and desmin in sub-epithelial cells were stainedpositively by immunohistochemical staining, while reactive germinal centers Bcl-2 and p53 applied to the bronchioles and alveolarducts were immunohistochemically stained negative. In addition, low-intensity nuclear staining was found with Ki67 immunohistochemical staining. In conclusion, significant increase in NO level and immunohistochemically intense inflammation, lymphoid follicles, fibrous and fibrinous plugs are an expression of the onset of cisplatin-induced lung injury..Article Citation - WoS: 5Citation - Scopus: 5The Effects of Playing Digital Games on Children's Pain, Fear, and Anxiety Levels During Suturing: a Randomized Controlled Study(Wolters Kluwer Medknow Publications, 2023-07) Kavlakcı, Muhammet; Öğce, Filiz; Yavan, TulayOBJECTIVE: The aim was to determine the effects of digital game play on children's pain, fear, and anxiety levels during suturing. METHODS: Data were obtained from 84 children between the ages of 8 and 17 years at the pediatric emergency department between January 16 and March 19, 2020, using the Socio-Demographic and Clinical Characteristics Form, the Wong-Baker Faces Pain Rating Scale (WBFPS), the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), the Fear of Medical Procedures Scale (FMPS), and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children (STAI-CH). A four-block randomization system was used. The study group (n = 42) played digital games during the suturing procedure, unlike the control group (n = 42). Ethical permissions were obtained from the ethical committee, hospital, and families. RESULTS: Before the suturing procedure, there was no statistically significant difference between the groups' mean scores. The intervention group was found to have statistically significantly lower WBFPS and VAS pain scores than the control group during the suturing procedure, and after the procedure, statistically significantly lower WBFPS, VAS, FMPS, and STAI-CH mean scores than the control group. CONCLUSIONS: The digital game-playing approach applied before and during the suture procedure was found to be effective in reducing children's pain, fear, and anxiety levels.Letter Elderly but Could Be Mastoiditis?(Cukurova Univ, Fac Medicine, 2023-03-31) Gökdemir, Özden; Özcakar, Nilgun[No Abstract Available]Article Giving Care To the Caregiver According To the Theory of Uncertainty of Merle in Hemorrhagic Stroke: a Case Report(2022-09-07) Karadakovan, Ayfer; Döner, Nedi Me HazalStroke, which is accepted as an important health problem, especially in developed countries, ranks third after coronary artery diseases when the causes of death in the world are examined.
