Kaya Oğuz received his B.Sc. degree in Software Engineering in 2007 from Izmir University of Economics (IUE), his M.Sc. degree in Computer Games Technology in 2009 from University of Abertay Dundee with distinction, and his Ph.D. in Information Technologies in 2016, from Ege University, International Computer Institute (ICI). He has been employed as a teaching assistant between 2009-2011 at IUE, as a lecturer at ICI between 2011-2017. He has been appointed as assistant professor at IUE in February 2017. He is the head of department since 2019.
His research interest covers game AI, machine learning, image processing, medical imaging and fMRI.
