| gperson.biography | Trent Üniversitesi’nde iktisat ve felsefe alanlarında çift-lisans yaptıktan sonra, doktora derecemi Emory Üniversitesi felsefe bölümünden aldım. Doktora tezim M. Foucault’nun eserlerinde deneyim kavramı üzerinedir. Transandantal argümanlardan arınmış ve tarihsel sürece ait toplumsal pratiklerce örülmüş bir deneyim kavramının neleri içereceğini sorguladım. Şu an üzerinde çalıştığım bazı konular: Siyaset ve etik arasındaki ilişkiler, medyada bilgi üretimi ve hakikat, kamusal iletişimin sınırları. ****************************************************************************************************************************************** Having pursued a double-major in philosophy and economics at Trent University (Canada), I received my PhD in philosophy from Emory University (USA). My doctoral dissertation investigates the concept of experience in the works of M. Foucault: starting from certain themes in German Idealism's preoccupation with experience (especially those revolving around the transcendental/empirical divide), I examine how experience might be conceived once we give up transcendental arguments and immerse it in historical social practices. My current research interests include: the methodology of the social sciences, the limits of naturalism in ethics, and aesthetic reasoning. | |
