Abstract
Let G be a connected graph with vertex set V(G) and an edge set E(G). The edge eccentric connectivity index of G, denoted by xi(c)(e)(G), is defined as xi(c)(e)(G) = Sigma(f is an element of E(G))deg(f)ec(f), where deg(f) is the degree of an edge f and ec(f) is its eccentricity. In this paper, exact formula for the edge eccentric connectivity index of dendrimers is derived.
