Design of Distribution Network Systems: a Study for Private Sector Perspective

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Şirket X'in hali hazırda mevcut bulunan dağıtım ağının, yıllıktalebin karşılanması sırasında meydana gelen arz maliyetlerinin en aza indirilmesi vebu yıllık talebin kabul edilebilir bir servis karşılama oranı ile düzenlenerek en uygunmaliyet odaklı bir biçimde yeniden gözden geçirilmesini sağlamaktır. Bu amaçözellikle, maliyetleri minimum seviyede tutabilmek için en uygun sayıda depomiktarının belirlenmesi; dağıtım maliyetlerindeki potansiyel tasarruflarınbelirlenmesi; mevcut dağıtım ağı için minimum servis karşılama oranının tayini; veşirketin hali hazırda bulunan her bir deposunun bir dışsal dağıtım perspektifinedayalı olarak göreceli (nispi) öneminin belirlenmesi şeklinde tanımlanabilir.

The main purpose of this thesis is to determine the most cost-effective configurationof the Company X?s current distribution network and its logistics practices so as tominimize the company?s annual costs of supplying its demand, while maintaining anacceptable service level. More specifically, this purpose includes determination ofthe optimum (cost-effective) number of distribution centers; determination of thepotential savings in distribution costs; identification of the minimum service levelfor current distribution network; determination of the relative importance of eachdistribution center from an outbound distribution perspective.
