The Signature of Coherent Systems and Its Application To Consecutive K-Within Systems

Abstract

Uyumlu sistemlerin imzası; sistemlerin güvenilirlik karakteristiklerinin incelenmesi,rekabet eden sistemlerin performanslarının karşılaştırılması gibi birçokalanda kullanılabilen önemli bir kavram olmuştur. n'den k'lı:F ve ardıl n'denk'lı:F sistemlerin genellemesi olan ve ardıl n'den m içinde k'lı:F sistem olarakadlandırılan sistem n bileşenden oluşmakta ve ardışık m bileşenden en az ktanesinin bozulması durumunda bozulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada; simetrik bağımlıbileşenlerden oluşan ardıl n'den m içinde k'lı:F sistemlerin güvenilirlik özellikleriçalışılmaktadır. İlgili sistemin güvenilirlik fonksiyonu için sınırlar ve yaklaışımlarbulunmuştur. Sistem imzasının Monte Carlo tahmin edicisi elde edilmiş ve butahmin edici güvenilirlik fonksiyonunun yaklaşık değerini elde etmek için kullanılmıştır.Elde edilen sonuçlar çok değişkenli Pareto dağılımı ile örneklenmiştir.

The signature of a coherent system has been found to be a useful tool in variousapplications including the evaluation of reliability characteristics of systems, andthe comparison of the performance of complex systems. As a generalization of kout-of-n:F and consecutive k-out-of-n:F systems, the consecutive k-within-m-outof-n:F system consisting of n linearly ordered components such that the systemfails i there are m consecutive components which include among them at leastk failed components. In this study, the reliability properties of consecutive kwithin-m-out-of-n:F systems with exchangeable components are studied. Boundsand approximations for the survival function are provided. Monte Carlo estimatorof system signature is obtained and used to approximate survival function. Theresults are illustrated and numerics are provided for exchangeable multivariatePareto distribution.
