İnşaat İşyerlerinde İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Uygulamaları ile Farkındalık Düzeylerine İlişkin Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Türkiye'de iş kazası ve meslek hastalıklarının önlenmesi açısından birçok düzenleme yapılmıştır. Bu kapsamda işverenlerin yükümlülükleri ve işçilerin görevleri tanımlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliğine yönelik uygulamaların belirlenmesi ve konunun çalışanlar açısından nasıl algılandığının değerlendirilmesi uygulamaların hedefine ulaşıp ulaşmadığının kontrolü açısından önemlidir. Veriler yapılandırılmış 2 farklı anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Bunlar; İşyeri bilgi formu ve çalışan formu. İşyeri bilgi formunda şantiyeye ait bilgiler ve şantiyede iş sağlığı ve güvenliğine ilişkin uygulamalara yönelik bilgiler sorgulanmaktadır. İşyeri bilgi formunu araştırmacı kendi doldurmuştur. Bu bölümde; İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Farkındalığı Ölçeği bulunmaktadır. Çalışan formu ise, işçiler tarafından doldurulmuştur. Bu formda çalışana ait demografik veriler ve İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Farkındalık Ölçeği soruları bulunmaktadır. Ölçekte çok seçenekli 5'li likert ölçeği soruları yer almaktadır. Ölçekte 3 alan bulunmakta olup bu alanlar; Eğitim ve Güvenlik Farkındalığı Düzeyi, İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Bilinç Düzeyi ve Kaderciliğe Bırakma Düzeyidir. Her alan için alanda verilen yanıtların ortalama puanı alınmaktadır. Yüksek puanlar İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Farkındalığının daha iyi olduğunu göstermektedir. Veriler SPSS istatistiksel analiz programında değerlendirilmiştir. Tanımlayıcı istatistikler olarak yüzde ve ortalama, standart sapma kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğe ilişkin verilerin değerlendirilmesinde ki kare testi kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, iş kazası ve meslek hastalıklarının görülme sıklığı açısından önemli bir yer tutan inşaat sektöründe çalışanların İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliğine ilişkin bilgi ve algı düzeylerinin ölçülerek sorunların benimsenmesi, çözümüne yönelik öneri sunulması amacıyla yapılmıştır.

Various regulations have been made to prevent occupational accidents and diseases in Turkey. In this context, the obligations of employers and the duties of the employees are defined. Accordingly, determining the practices related to Occupational Health and Safety and evaluating how the subject is perceived by the employees is important in terms of verifying whether the practices achieve their targets. Data were collected with two different structured questionnaire forms. These are; Workplace information form and employee form. In the workplace information form, information related to the site and occupational health and safety practices at the site are asked. The researcher completed the workplace information form himself. In this part; there is an Occupational Health and Safety Awareness Scale. This scale was developed by İbrahim Pehlivan to measure occupational health and safety perceptions of employees in construction works. The employee form was completed by the workers. In this form, there is demographic data of the employee and questions of Occupational Health and Safety Awareness Scale. The scale includes multiple choice 5-point Likert scale questions. There are 3 areas in the scale; Education and Safety Awareness Level, Occupational Health and Safety Awareness Level and Fatalism Level. The responses given in each field received an average score. Higher scores indicate better Occupational Health and Safety Awareness. Data were analyzed by SPSS statistical analysis software. Percent, mean and standard deviation were used as complementary statistics. Chi square test was used to evaluate the data related to the scale. The aim of this study is to measure the knowledge and perception levels of the employees of construction sector as it has an important place in terms of occurrence of occupational accidents and diseases and to embrace the problems and suggest solutions.
