Abstract
In this note, new run definitions which we call epsilon-neighbourhood and c-increasing runs are introduced. These definitions are the rational extension of runs to the continuous-valued sequences. Distributional properties of the introduced run statistics are studied. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
