ÖZETUlaştırmanın Lojistik Yönetimi, Avrupa Birliği ve Türkiye Açısından Önemi:Kombine Taşımacılık lkeleri Açısından Ulaştırma Sektöründe Türkiye NedenYetersizdir?Demir, ErkanAvrupa Çalışmaları Yüksek Lisans Programı, Uluslararsı lişkiler ve Avrupa BirliğiBölümüTez Yöneticisi: Prof. Dr. Tunçdan BALTACIOĞLUAğustos 2005, 157 sayfaBu tez, ekonomik, teknolojik ve sosyo-kültürel açıdan sürekli değişim halindekidünyamızda ulaştırmanın ve ulaştırma modellerinin önemini vurgulamaktadır.Ülkelerin, insanların ve çevrenin ulaştırma faaliyetlerinden nasıl etkilendikleri, negibi faydalar sağladıkları, ekonomik ve sosyal açıdan uygun ulaştırma sistemlerininne gibi artılar getirdiği bu tezde incelenmektedir. Globalleşen dünyamızda sınırlarınkalkmasıyla birlikte daha önemli hale gelen insan faktörü zaman kriterini ortayaçıkartmıştır. Bu doğrultuda doğru malı, doğru zamanda, doğru yere ve doğru ulaşımaracıyla ulaştırmak firmaların ve hatta ülkelerin rekabet gücünü belirleyen en önemlietken haline gelmiştir. Avrupa Birliği örnek alınarak Türk ulaştırma sistemindekieksiklerin belirlenmesi ve ?Intermodal Ulaştırma Sistemi? nin uygunluğu analizi butez bünyesinde yapılmıştır.

In this thesis, how countries,people, and environment are being affected from transportation activities, what kindsof benefits they get, and what positive effects can be gotten in terms of economic andsocial are being investigated. In the globalizing world, with the abolishment ofborders, the concept of human, which becomes more important by degrees, hasdetermined the ?time? factor. In this perspective, transportation of right product, atthe right time, to the right place, and by the right transport mode has become themost important element determining the competitive power of firms even countries.Deficiencies of Turkish transport sector and the appropriateness of ?IntermodalTransportation System? were analysed by taking the EU transportation sector as amodal.
