Yenileyici (Rejeneratif) Turizm: Kavramsal bir Derleme ve Dünyadan En İyi Örnekler

Abstract

Yenileyici (rejeneratif) turizm, Türk turizm literatüründe yeni bir kavram olmakla birlikte küresel ölçekte giderek daha fazla tartışılmaktadır. Kitlesel turizmin olumsuz etkileri, yerel kültürlerin ticarileşmesi ve destinasyonların aşırı turizme maruz kalması nedeniyle ortaya çıkan bu yaklaşım, özellikle pandemi ve ekolojik krizler sonrası değişen turist tercihleri ve davranışları ile daha da önem kazanmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, literatür taraması ve ikincil verilerle yenileyici turizmin tanımını yapmak, temel unsurlarını incelemek ve dünyadan en iyi uygulama örnekleri ile Türkiye için teorik ve pratik düzeyde yol gösterici olmaktır. Bu çerçevede, yenileyici turizmin temel prensip ve amaçları açıklanmakta; sürdürülebilir turizm ile farkları vurgulanmaktadır. Ayrıca, yenileyici turizmin uygulama alanları ve dünyadan örneklerle modelin nasıl hayata geçirildiği gösterilmektedir.

Regenerative tourism is a new concept in Turkish tourism literature and is increasingly being discussed on a global scale. The negative impacts of mass tourism, the commercialization of local cultures, and the exposure of destinations to overtourism have led to the emergence of this approach, which has gained even more importance, especially with the changing tourist preferences and behaviors following the pandemic and ecological crises. The aim of the study is to define regenerative tourism through a literature review and secondary data, examine its fundamental elements, and provide theoretical and practical guidance for Türkiye using the best practice examples from around the world. In this context, the fundamental principles and objectives of regenerative tourism are explained, and the differences with sustainable tourism are emphasized. Additionally, the application areas of regenerative tourism and how the model has been implemented worldwide with examples are demonstrated.
